@Ralizah Oh thanks so much, I will keep that in mind. He wants Gang Beasts so probably just throw 15 on there for now. He does prefer physical but the prices are daft and eshop is currently £9.99
@AgentCooper It's way easier to save money on digital Switch purchases if you play your cards right. Especially for first-party games with the vouchers, since you can put discounted eshop credit against them.
There was this beautiful deal on Walmart.com once where I snagged $200 worth of eshop credit for... $140, as I recall. Never seen a deal that good since. Basically got a free game out of it!
@Ralizah Oh gosh, that is a beautiful deal. Will definitely keep my ear to the ground on deals. Eventually went with adding funds via the website, which was surprisingly smooth and I didn’t have to leave my card details on file, CDkeys was only offering a pound off 15 so it made more sense at this time to add a tenner directly. Thanks again for your advice 👍
Think I must be near the end of Bravely Default, since I’m basically at the Earth Crystal. I say that, but all I’ve heard are horror stories about the game refusing to end.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Buckle up, buckaroo.

@nessisonett I'm not sure you quite grasp the sheer scale of BS the game is preparing to put you through. The middle-to-late game of Bravely Default is basically the gaming world's version of Haruhi Suzumiya's "Endless Eight" arc.
It's a shame, because the final hours of the game are superb. Fantastic music, epic boss fights, subversive twists, cool gimmicks that make great use of the 3DS hardware... but getting there is such a slog!
Also, as I recall, there's a really annoying difficulty spike in Ch. 5.

Apologies if this theory has been mooted before, but I was thinking yesterday - I love TOTK, it’s one of the best games ever made IMO. But is it really representative of years of effort? Same world, same engine.. I believe lots of it would have been developed as BOTW DLC also, at least conceptually. I say this to say, is there a good chance development of the NEXT Zelda could actually be a lot further along than you might think, if they had resources to spare? Could we get get a new Zelda as soon as 2025, and a trailer to go with a Switch 2 announcement? I mean I expect them to come out the gate with a new 3D Mario and Mario Kart but would a new Zelda perhaps not be far behind?
@kyleforrester87 Interesting you say same world, same engine, as dataminers found it's actually NOT the same engine, which would explain some things like the better fidelity and level of detail plus new interactions.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
The Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy actually looks pretty good. They’ve had to make some compromises to get it running, but it definitely looks playable.
