@RogerRoger It was a really wonderful evening and they go all over the world so if it comes to a town near you, my recommendation absolutely holds.
My personal favourites were Supermarine from Dunkirk and the cornfield theme from Interstellar, while my partner got a little teary during the Wonder Woman piece. It really was a brilliant show!
Finished watching Foxy Brown. Great movie only slightly spoiled by a questionable scene towards the end involving the inappropriate use of a pickle jar! If any one else has seen it they'll know what I mean. That bit was a bit too much.
"Man is the pie that bakes and eats himself, and the recipe is separation."
A couple of Denzel Washington starring remakes that I've never seen - "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Taking of Pelham 123" - on blu-ray in the charity shop this morning. A fiver for the pair. That'll do.
@JohnnyShoulder Thought it might be sooner but that's ok. It's probably been well over a decade since I last saw it (when did vhs die out?) so a few more months is fine. 😁
@BearsEatBeets@JohnnyShoulder Meanwhile "True Lies" is still MIA. I've got a (possibly spurious) Spanish import blu-ray but a nice 4K release would be splendid.
The Marvels isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. But it could be because I had my expectations at an all-time low for the film and on top of having low expectations for MCU content recently. I would give it a 6/10. The action sequences for how they play off of switching up their power entanglements are really cool and haven't been done yet for any film. The story is very weak but the three main characters are great. Unfortunately, the villain is forgettable even though her motives make sense. The movie was more about having fun than anything else. But I wouldn't rewatch this unless I wanted something to fall asleep to.
