@Fullbringlchigo Is there a Photo Mode in Final Fantasy XV, then? I didn't think it had one! All your shots are great but I really like those last few; thanks for sharing!
@KALofKRYPTON My thanks. Say what you will about the game, but the graphics and Photo Mode filters really give off a gorgeous 50s / 60s sci-fi serial vibe. I think I remember somewhere that such a vibe was intentional, so I'd say that's one promise they actually managed to keep.
@Kidfried Not at all. I think I even used it as wallpaper for a while!
I've been having fun with Batman: Arkham Knight to grab some more close-up character portraits. The character models are quite excellent.

My internet connection is being painfully slow today, and so I can fully appreciate people's initial concerns over this thread (he says as he dumps four more onto the page). I can only apologise for putting so many screencaps up in quick succession; I'll try and limit myself in future.
@RogerRoger there are many ways photos are taken in FFXV, some at specific points on the map, some taken automatically by Prompto, some you can take via one of Promptos special attacks and then there is the camera you can use at any time BUT sometimes i just turn off the HUD and use the PS4's built in screenshot function or i'll save a video of some game play and then find a good image and save it
the one with Prompto and his Chocobo for example was taken with the PS4's image capture function that i took before the HUD loaded at a camp scene and the Noctis flipping one was a total fluke as for the Noodle hat one i took that from a game play video i had saved
but on topic
i got Goku's new Journey to the West costume on Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 and it looks awesome, even better when Goku is Super Saiyan 3

@FullbringIchigo That's cool, thanks for the details! I've been thinking of trying Final Fantasy XV on the recommendation of a friend and it certainly looks like a beautiful game worth taking a few snapshots in. Nice to know I'm also not the only person who'll disable a HUD and position a camera when there's no Photo Mode available!
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@RogerRoger sometimes it's the best way to get a picture
now MORE SCREENSHOTS!!!
how about one from Final Fantasy XIII (taken via a capture device)
and a few more from Final Fantasy XV
Noctis really should watch where he sticks that thing
and more Assassin's
i swear i have pics from other games, honest
and now Star Trek Online and trying to dock at DS9

@FullbringIchigo Ah, rats... you've posted a screencap from the ONE GAME that'd drag me back here! After promising to slow down, I can't ignore Star Trek Online simply because it's probably the game I've captured the most shots from. Over a thousand at last count.
Before I ramble on, though, that mid-combat shot from Final Fantasy XV is really nice!
Okay, so as a huge Trekkie, I was really upset to learn that you couldn't disable the HUD and zoom the camera in to snap beauty shots of various starships. One day, by accident, I flew too close to a starbase and realised that you could force the camera close by jamming it up against asteriods, space stations or other bulkheads. Then I remembered that departing a system or swapping your vessel initiated a short warp-out animation that removed the HUD for the duration.
Putting those two bits of information together, my inner fanboy had a sudden eureka moment. Here are some of the results (sorry, I know this is about to be overkill... I just get way too excited about Star Trek).
Also, at least your starship looks like it'll succeed in docking at DS9. I can't even get mine through the blasted Spacedock door!
Now I'll go sit in the corner and be quiet, I promise.
@RogerRoger you got the Universe Class, i really wanted that but i was never able to get it, currently i'm using the Paladin Class
really want the Kelvin Connie too

The Assassin checks out his weapon Final Fantasy XV

it's those again Star Trek Online
and in case your wondering i made up a bio for my character too
also if i get started on Star Trek i'll be on about it all day BUT did you see the new content coming to STO, it's all DS9 based and Odo, Kira, Garak and Bashir are all back (more characters to be revealed later)

@ReanSchwarzer7 I'd certainly say that it does, not least because I'm drawing a total blank on what "ToCS" stands for...?
@Fullbringlchigo Oh, I'm always happy to get started about Star Trek. Apologies in advance!
I did see the initial announcement about the new Star Trek Online content, but I've been away all weekend and haven't had the chance to catch up. I saw that Rene Auberjonois, Nana Visitor, Armin Shimmerman and J.G. Hertzler were announced, and that more characters would be revealed shortly. Garak and Bashir, you say? That's gonna be excellent! If it's half as good as the large Star Trek: Voyager expansion, I'll be there (although I'm a tad disappointed that the fourth playable race is going to be the Jem'Hadar, as I've always found them a little one-note... I'd do anything for a Borg campaign).
I love your biography! Not least because it heavily references Star Trek: Enterprise, a hugely underrated show, but it's also a neat little pre-destination paradox, something so very Star Trek. I always appreciate it when other players put the effort in like that; quite often I'll just sit on a bench in Spacedock and inspect passers-by to read their backstories.
Given that it's a free-to-play game, I can't hate them too much for keeping some of the best ships hidden in randomised loot boxes. In fact, this is the only game where I've ever given money to randomised microstransactions (happy to spend money when I know what I'm getting, so it's a different story for the uniforms, starships and interiors on the C-Store, I got them almost immediately). Thankfully, since I adhere to primary canon as much as possible, there have only been two vessels hidden in loot boxes that I've really wanted; the aforementioned Universe-Class, and the Son'a Collector. I was stupidly lucky and got the former on my fourth attempt, whereas the latter... well, the latter cost me. A lot.
A couple months ago, I used SHAREfactory to create a little montage for my own character's current backstory. I had to come up with a way to explain why I flew a range of Federation starships from various eras (as well as wearing the applicable uniforms) alongside the three Son'a ships, so it seems we share a time travel element (not to mention my default outfit is Daniels' temporal suit).
I've also made other montages over the years. This is a tribute to The Next Generation...
...whilst this one honours Voyager.
Finally, this one ensures that history never forgets the name 'Enterprise'.
I've never (and continue not to) put enough time in to it to fully appreciate the game. It is also a little bit neutered on console (I no longer have a capable laptop) control-wise.
Off topic - sort of: have you ever wondered how the Defiant actually docks at DS9? like - with the deflector...

@FullbringIchigo It does work, very much so - but a couple of PC player buddies of mine have some pretty elaborate and extremely well kitted out ships. They'd just be unwieldy with a controller.
The docking port is (apparently) above the deflector on the curve of the nose, flush with the hull so you can't see it...
